Important Note Regarding The East African Shea Butter -
Please note that shea butter is actually a "butter" product. The east African shea butter in particular is naturally a very soft butter, due to its naturally high oil content. As we ship this product to you, especially during the warmer times of the year, please be aware that you may receive the product in a melted/semi melted state. Please note that this DOES NOT degrade the product at all! Also, with every purchase of our East African Shea Butter, we will include a notice informing you of how to re-set the shea butter back to its natural state. Thank you for your understanding, and enjoy your shea butter!

Important Note Regarding Your East African Shea Butter: Due to the natural, high oil content of the East African Shea Butter, the product may melt during shipping due to the temperatures that the product experiences during the shipping process. Take caution when first opening your East African Shea Butter. If your East African Shea Butter is melted upon receipt, you may re-harden it by setting it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes (be sure that the lid is on & closed securely so that NO moisture gets in). Once it re-hardens, you may keep the East African Shea Butter at room temperature. Please know that due to the high oil content present in the East African Shea Butter, it will maintain a semi-solid consistency at room temperature; this is normal for this variety of shea butter.
